Ginny and Roxy are best friends - cousins born on the same day and growing up together. Ginny is quiet and shy, Roxy is domineering, adventurous, and always on the lookout for the next bit of fun. However, Roxy returns to her hometown from her trendy London job, claiming she needs sanctuary from her latest romance catastrophe. Ginny is stuck in a rut - 27 years old, still lives with her mum, works with her mum at the local library, and has been with the same man since leaving school. So Ginny offers to swap lives with Roxy for a month, to give them both what they are needing - sanctuary and excitement.
